On Sunday, November 19th, 1989, Dedo got a call from the college that he should talk to his daughter. Apparently, she was hanging around an instigator.

He was the main speaker for the students in the college, and they did not know which way this “revolution” was going.

Dedo and Babi drove an hour to speak to my mom. She assured them that she wasn’t involved…

But as soon as they left, she ran with my dad and barely caught the train to Prague for which they had tickets.

The whole city was covered in statements and posters. Taking photographs and making them accessible to larger communities within Czechoslovakia was necessary to spread information about the situation.

The movement was student-driven and for weeks following the demonstrations they continued to push information out to the public.

They visited manufacturing facilities and other companies in order to provide news to the working class.

Strikes soon followed

And then came change.
